A brief history
La Vie…the way life should be.
Starting a winery is certainly exciting, but can be daunting as well. Wondering, “what’s next,” La Vie Founder, Kara Cleaver, spent many months in research and contemplation. She visited the Texas Hill Country and Texas High Plains, meeting with vineyard owners and wineries, looking for just the right mix. This was time well spent, she found the perfect opportunity to collaborate with select winemakers to ensure high quality wines from day one. After more than two years of research, she opened the doors in late 2021. She won Blanco County Winery of the Year in 2022. She won her first three Silver Medals for her wines in 2023. And she followed that with a Gold Medal, Texas Class Champion and Reserve Class Champion in 2024. To date, 2025 has brought another four Silvers.
