A brief history
Siboney Cellars is just 4 miles west of Johnson City in the Texas Hill Country. A modern hillside winery built into the limestone terrace overlooks the estate vineyard. Every seat in the tasting room offers commanding views. A distinct cultural vibe and an energetic event calendar set the pace for unique winery experiences, new releases, and culinary pairings.
Founders Miguel & Barbara Lecuona started Siboney in 2017 when Barbara made the first 500 cases. Her beautiful 100% Texas wine portfolio includes Albariño, Roussanne, Cab & Cab Franc, Petit Verdot, and artful blends from Italian and Rhone varietals. Having completed the Viticulture & Oenology program at Texas Tech, with further certification at the Bordeaux School of Agriculture, Barbara's footprints are in all the vineyards featured in our wine portfolio. She actively partners with growers in the High Plains and other Texas AVAs. She oversees the cellar team and the young Estate Merlot Vineyard. The barrel cellar features the only OXO-Line system in Texas, enabling specific barrel care while sharing the beautiful, acoustically perfect cellar space for tastings, live music and dinner events.
Siboney takes its name from Miguel's family history, with Cuban heritage, a vibrant spirit showcased in music, cigars and culinary, and underpinned with hospitality and service. Pet-friendly, kid-friendly and cigar-friendly, Siboney is generously situated on an expansive, beautifully maintained 52 acre property replete with climate-controlled tasting rooms, magnificent views, covered outdoor terraces and shaded seating under the oaks in the heart of the vineyard. The small but mighty hospitality team is second to none. We await your reservation (siboneycellars.com/Visit). Named a Top 10 Winery by Austin Monthly.
