Palate

The soft acidity is off set by lovely ripe and slightly intense red fruit characteristics that work to create great harmony. Sweet spices are apparent - a little clove with additional hints of allspice and cinnamon.

Growing Conditions

Estate Claros 2023 was the product of a very long hot summer. We left the fruit on the vines for a longer hang time to lower the acidity and the results speak for themselves.

Aging

It was matured in 40% new French oak barrels and 60% in one and two year old French barrels.

Appearance

This award winning wine exhibits an alluring purple/garnet color with good clarity and medium depth.

Food Pairing

Claros pairs well with a broad range of foods; duck breast, pork tenderloin, grilled salmon, and it also stands alone as a well-balanced elegant wine suitable for any occasion.
