Even as childhood sweethearts we have always had a common goal, and this vineyard and winery is our latest vision come to life. We purchased our 250-acre ranch while living in Scotland, and our time there inspired the name Torr Na Lochs, which loosely translates from Gaelic to Hill Over Lakes. The winery sits high above the Colorado River valley overlooking both Inks and Buchanan lakes. After making the leisurely half-mile drive along a granite gravel road to the winery building, choose from a number of seating options for tasting great Texas wines with an even greater Texas view. As native Texans, we are committed to wines made from only Texas grown fruit. We invite you to relax and enjoy the variety of Torr Na Lochs wines poured at your table by our friendly staff.

Notes of vanilla and ripe cherries greet the nose on this ruby red wine followed by a velvety mouthfeel and lingering finish with notes of dark cherry. 

This dark garnet colored wine produces dark fruits and nutmeg, cocoa, and vanilla baking spices on the nose. Its medium body starts with noticeable tannins and finishes long leaving cherry and dark berries. 

Brut

White

Made in house in the traditional method, this sparkling wine is 100% Malvasia Bianca and has notes of green apple and pear with a nice acidity and crisp finish. The perfect celebration wine!

Aromas of cherry, vanilla and cardamom greet the nose, followed by silky tannins and notes of plum and chocolate on the palate and a peppery finish.

Considered the Chardonnay of Texas for its buttery mouthfeel, this wine was made in 100% stainless steel and has tropical fruit aromas and a smooth finish.

White Blend

(pronounced fee-on gal) A classic Rhône style blend of Viognier, Roussanne, Marsanne, Riesling and Albariño, this wine has a floral nose followed by tart citrus on the palate and a crisp finish.

Marsanne Blend

This bright, dry wine is 50% Marsanne and 50% Viognier. Enjoy citrus and tart apple on the nose with mandarin orange and pear on the palate, a creamy mouthfeel, and a lingering finish.

Citrus on the nose progresses to a hint of honey on the palate and a sweet tangerine finish.

This golden-colored wine imparts orange marmalade aromas on the nose, mandarin orange on the palate and a creamy finish.

Pale yellow wine with white peach and pear on the nose, citrus and minerality on the palate, and a soft finish.

Rosé

A Provence style rosé offering light color and body, nice acidity and notes of tart cherry and raspberry both on the nose and palate.

Honeysuckle on the nose progresses to a smooth finish with just the right touch of sweetness.

Fortified

This after-dinner dessert wine made with 100% Orange Muscat has notes of honey and candied orange peel on the nose, dried apricot on the palate, and a silky lingering finish. Pairs well with soft cheeses and light desserts.

100% Texas grown Dolcetto. Our sweet red Dolcetto wine was fortified with brandy made by distilling Dolcetto wine.

Hints of blackberry and caramel on the nose are followed by blackberry on the palate and a soft, smooth finish.

Tobacco and leather on the nose are followed by tart cherry and a hint of clove on the palate with a lasting finish.

Core Wines is a collaboration between Torr Na Lochs and our full-time employees. Made of Grenache, this light, salmon-colored rosé presents white raspberry and passionfruit on the nose with an elegant mouthfeel and lychee on the palate.

Core Wines is a collaboration between Torr Na Lochs and our full-time employees. This well-balanced blend of 20% Petite Sirah and 80% Mourvèdre has notes of candied fruit on the nose followed by flavors of blackberry jam on the palate and a lingering finish.

This ruby-colored wine offers hints of red licorice candy on the nose followed by intense cherry flavors on the palate and a hint of caramel on the finish.

Straw yellow in color, this wine presents violet and honeysuckle on the nose with a creamy mouthfeel and crisp finish with lingering notes of pear.

Red Blend

A delightful blend of Dolcetto and Orange Muscat, this light red wine is perfect for drinking slightly chilled on a warm Texas afternoon.

This garnet-colored wine is a blend of Mourvèdre, Carignan and Cinsault presenting dried cranberries and blackberries on the nose, dark fruit on the palate and a spicy, lingering finish.

Montepulciano Blend

A beautiful blend of Italian varietals, this deep garnet colored red wine presents with black currant jam on the nose, a creamy mouthfeel with ripe plum and tart blueberries on the palate and a smooth, lingering finish.
