Delicate stone fruit nuances and bright citrusy aromas, all instantly apparent when the wine is poured.

A tantalizing acidity

Winemaking

Our first Plateau White wine was a blend of Italian of varietals, and, as luck would have it, for subsequent vinatges, many of the Italian varietals have not been available due to the weather and the market. What we did have, was an abundance of Piquepoul and Roussanne. These two varieties comprise many of the white Rhone blends that are on the market today, both have great acidity and deep varietal characters of apple, pineapple and citrus. The addition of Viognier brings a subtle hint of peach and honeysuckle, plus a rich silkiness that gives power and weight to the blend. Clairette Blanche adds a lush balance and delicate citrus note. The white wines of the Rhône Valley can be lean and tart or full bodied and lush. Our 2024 strikes the balance of being in between lean and lush.

Appearance

Brassy green in color.
