Nose

An assertive nose of black cherry, red and black currant and cedar with baking spice, caramel and smoky vanilla notes typical of this varietal. 

Palate

The mouth feel is substantial, with solidly structured tannins, medium plus acidity and vibrant fruit and spice.  The finish is long and redolent of black currant, black cherry and oak.

Winemaking

Sourced from the Nogalero Estate Vineyard in Gaines County, within the Texas High Plains AVA, this wine is rooted in Patricia fine sandy soils at an elevation of 3,275 feet. Meticulously aged for two years in a combination of 80% French oak and 20% American oak, the wine then rested in bottle for over two additional years.

Brilliant deep ruby color.
