Nose

The nose is full of dark cherry, stewed tomato, tobacco, and black pepper.

Palate

The Palate confirms the ripe dark cherries, baking spice with a fresh acidity and tannins emphasized by oak aging.

Winemaking

Cultivated in the distinguished Texas High Plains AVA at the Nogalero Estate Vineyard, where patricia fine sandy soils and an elevation of 3,275 feet impart a singular character. This wine matured gracefully in 100% French oak barrels for three years, followed by over five years of bottle aging, allowing its complexity and elegance to fully evolve.

Appearance

A classic ruby color.

Food Pairing

Perfectly suited to richly flavored meats, this wine pairs beautifully with braised lamb, tender veal, and smoky BBQ steak. Its bold character and balanced structure also complement dry-rubbed barbecue, enhancing the savory depth and spice of each bite.
